Leamington RFC Golf Society embraced the Norman David school of touring this week with a 2 day trip to the distant reaches of Chipping Norton to take on the greens and fairways of The Cotswold Club and Hotel.

Each year 2 days of competitive golf is played to decide the winner of the Brian White Trophy with this edition marking 15 years since his untimely passing.

With his grandsons Louis and Syd playing in the first XV over the last few seasons and his daughter Mel being a lynchpin of our all conquering walking rugby team Brian’s indelible mark on the club still very much remains.

16 players battled hard to to take home the trophy but it was Doug Grant who had the game to tame to course and conditions.

Well done to Doug and the other Golf Society members for a great tour and some great golf in Brian’s memory.
