The Nations Championship is the new biennial rugby tournament created by Six Nations Rugby and SANZAAR. It will feature all 10 of the associated unions - England, Italy, Ireland, France, Scotland and Wales plus Argentina, Australia, New Zealand South Africa and two invitational sides - Japan and Fiji. The tournament will take place every two years outside of the Rugby World Cup and Lions’ tours enhancing the existing July and November international windows
The Six Nations teams will form a Europe Group and the SANZAR teams, plus the two invitational sides will form a Rest of The World group.
This July, the Europe Group teams will travel south to play three fixtures. In November, the Rest of the World teams will travel north to take on the Six Nations teams. Over the course of the two legs, a team will play each team from their opposing group. Points are earned that will inform table standings which will then dictate opponents for the Finals Weekend fixtures.
England have three games at Twickenham in November - Australia (8 November) Japan (14 November) and New Zealand (21 November). We are able to apply for tickets for the NZ and Oz games in accordance with our normal allocation. These have been purchased and are now available to members. Tickets for the Japan game are available to the club without a quota and can still be applied for.
Following the group games there will be a Finals Weekend played over three days (27, 28, 29 November) with two games on each ticket. The club is able to apply for finals weekend tickets, but we don’t have an allocation and don’t know who will be playing in any game or what the demand will be, so we haven’t applied at this stage
If you are interested in the Australia or New Zealand games please apply on the attached form in the normal way
If you are interested in the Japan game or any of the finals weekend games please contact me direct to discuss your requirements
