This week - the club will be open as usual, except that on Friday the bar will be open from 5.00 for normal early evening drinks and will then morph into Jacky’s birthday party - to which all are invited. We are closed on Saturday due to a sponsors’ day.

The Centenary Golf Tournament was a big success last week with 36 players taking part in the extreme heat. There were various prizes available but, from what I can gather, the winner on the day was Jim Poynter

We now move on to the It’s a Knock Out fun-day, on Saturday 11 July from 1.30 . It is open to the whole club and we are hoping that as many parts of our “family” as possible will be represented. Teams will be of 6-10 people. Some safeguarding changes have been made and teams can now be from age 11-16 or 16 and over. Entry fee is £10 per person. Our physio, Hayley White, is taking part in the Great North Run, on 12 September in support of motor neurone disease and then in the Cardiff half-marathon on 4th October in memory of little Avi, one of her closest friends who passed-on in May last year. Travellers
We had a minor Travellers’ incursion on Sunday, but hopefully this will not result in further disturbance. This time of the year is the riskiest, due to travellers moving around the country to various events and looking for potential sites. We need to keep our premises as secure as possible and this might lead to early closure or suspension of activities at times, but we will try to take appropriate action.

The Annual General Meeting of Leamington Rugby Football Club Ltd. will be held on Wednesday 29 July, 2026 at 8.pm.
