This week - the club will be open as usual – Friday from 5.00 for early evening drinks and Saturday from 4.00. There are no games on as far as I am aware.

Dave Schofield’s funeral will be held at Seven Hills Crematorium, Ipswich on Monday 17 August at 12 noon

The first trial game for the coming season will be at home to Nottingham Moderns on Saturday 22 August, kicking off at 3.00. The Second team fixtures will be in next week’s edition

The Club Centenary Ball is on Saturday 5 September at the club. It is more or less a sell-out but if anyone wants to come, please get in touch with Mel Greenway on 07971 547827 asap

Another Centenary event is the Club “It’s a Knock Out”. This was due to be held in July but was postponed. It will now be held on the afternoon of Sunday 13 September. It is open to the whole club and teams will be 6-10 people from age 11-16, or 16 and over. Entry fee is £10 per person. To enter - contact John Brear, Lucy Ramsbottom, or Hayley White

Tickets for England’s game at Twickenham against New Zealand on 21 November are now gone but we still have a few left for the Australia game on 8 November. These are still available on a first come first served basis.
