Guard of Honour at Cov Charity half-marathon Membership Dick Ashley RIP Graham Messenger RIP Pre-season Centenary Ball It’s a KO

Coventry RFC have invited Leamington M&J section to act as guard of honour at their opening game at the Nick Newbold Stadium on Friday 4th September. Kick-off is at 19.30 and guard of honour takes place at 19:10. As part of our centenary celebration weekend, Cov have extended the discount tickets at £5 per adult and £2.50 per child to all of Leamington’s active members to attend the evening. Messages have been sent out to all age grades, men’s and ladies’ sides (colts have a game unfortunately) to book their tickets. If you are interested in attending the game to showcase our support for Leamington then please get in touch with Hayley White on 0788 130 5238 for information on how to book.

Hayley then has her half-marathon/great north run for motor-neurone disease, on Sunday 13th September - in aid of Doddie Weir, Rob Burrows, Lewis Moody, Ed Slater and everyone else affected by this horrible disease. If anyone wishes to donate - happy to receive cash if you see me or can donate on this link:

Bill Dalton has taken over from Phil McGaffin as Membership Secretary. The membership form and CASC form are attached. Subs are payable from the beginning of September and we would be grateful if you would pay your fee as soon as possible and if you pay by standing order, could you please check that you are playing the correct amount.

Bill is taking the opportunity to review the list of members, as we are aware that a number of people have lapsed but are still on our list. It is important that we should have accurate list and Bill will be checking this out in the next few weeks, starting with the VPs and he will be writing to everyone to check out their status in order to update whether

• they still wish to be a member and if so, are they paying a fee
• if they are not a member, whether they want to be
• if they regard themselves as lapsed, whether they want to renew membership or be deleted from our list.

Bill’s details are on the attached from
