Andy McKowen celebrates his 90th birthday on Friday. Andy has been with the club since the early 1960s and was followed by his sons Ian and David and currently, by his grandson Rich who made a welcome return to the team on Saturday. Congratulations Andy.

The first team game against Ledbury went ahead on Saturday despite the wet pitch. Leamington took an early lead but were soon pegged back and it was more or less all square at the break. Ledbury pulled away in the third quarter and although Leam pulled back to within 7 points we fell just short and lost by 34-41. See John Warner’s full report on the website. This week
• The 1st team are at away ay Bromyard. This will be the third attempt to play the game and it replaces the Newbold fixture in the Warwickshire Cup, league games having priority. There will be a coach to the game and you are welcome to join the team
• The Second team are at home to Old Laurentians
• The Colts don’t have a game
• The U16 are playing Old Leamingtonians at Moorefields on Sunday morning. It is half-term for the other age groups
• The Ladies are at home to Birmingham University at 2.00
