SIX TRIES, ONE BIG TEAM EFFORT AND A FIRST TRY TO CELEBRATE!

Earlsdon 4 | 6 Leamington
Sunday 11th October 2026

Well, what a Sunday morning of rugby!

Our Leamington U12/13s headed over to Earlsdon this morning for what turned out to be a cracking game, with plenty of determination, some fantastic teamwork and a second-half comeback that had everyone cheering!

Earlsdon certainly weren’t going to make life easy for us, and the boys had to work hard throughout. But what stood out today was just how much they were playing for each other.

The communication on the pitch was brilliant. The lads were vocal, encouraging one another, calling for the ball and really starting to work together as a team, even the subs were directing team mates.. I've decided Hugo could be a sports commentator!

And when things needed a bit of a shake-up at half-time, captain Will stepped up with a fantastic team talk!
Whatever he said, it certainly worked!
The boys came back out ready to get stuck in, showing real determination and bringing the game back in the second half.

And the tries? Well, we had a few of those!
Hugo getting himself on the scoresheet with one!
Harry bagging TWO!
JJ also getting TWO!

And then there was…
STANLEY’S FIRST EVER TRY!!!
Now THAT deserves a special mention!
There’s something brilliant about seeing a player score their first try, and Stanley certainly gave us all something to celebrate today.
A huge well done, Stanley! Hopefully the first of many!

But as much as we love celebrating the try scorers, rugby is a team game, and today was about every single lad who pulled on that Leamington shirt.

The tackles, the passes, the support runs, the encouragement and the determination to keep going. The coaches and parents were incredibly proud of the effort, particularly the way the boys responded in the second half.

Credit to Earlsdon for a great game and for making us work for that win!

FINAL RESULT: EARLSDON 4 - 6 LEAMINGTON

Six tries, some brilliant teamwork, a captain finding his voice and one very happy first-time try scorer!
Not a bad Sunday morning at all.

Although, speaking as today’s first aider, I can confirm the boys weren’t the only ones hitting the deck…
Apparently I got a little TOO excited about the performance and decided to demonstrate my own spectacular fall outside the clubhouse.
The boys managed a win. Stacey managed an ice pack and a twisted ankle.

I’ll leave the rugby to them next week!
Massive well done to all the lads, coaches and supporters.

COME ON LEAMINGTON!
